Enrique de la Madrid Cordero (born 1 October 1962) is a Mexican politician. He is a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. He is the son of former Mexican President Miguel de la Madrid. He obtained a BA in Law from the National University of Mexico, and holds an MA in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at the University of Harvard. From 1994 to 1998, he served as General Technical Coordinator of the Presidency of the National Banking and Shares Commission. During his time as Federal Deputy from 2000 to 2003, he was one of the promoters of the bill that created the Rural Financing Department. He was also Executive Chairman of the Mexican Council of the Industry of Consumer Goods (ConMéxico). In December 2006 President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa appointed Mr. De la Madrid Cordero as General Director of Financiera Rural. In August 2015 President Enrique Peña Nieto appointed him as Secretary of Tourism. ==External links==
